Hey there! My name is Shannon, and I am a pre-medical student currently studying biomedical sciences at George Mason University. I received my bachelor's degree in Cognitive Sciences, with a focus in Neuroscience, from the University of Virginia in May 2023. After graduation, I spent a year working as a CPR instructor and pediatric patient care technician at UVA Hospital in Charlottesville, and I also volunteered as an EMT once a week in Crozet, VA. Now that I am back in Northern Virginia for my master's program, I am eager to find a part-time job to help pay for my education and to continue exploring my passions in teaching and childcare. I have experience working with children and adults of all ages (through healthcare, teaching and babysitting), as well as across various academic subjects, thanks to my extracurricular activities and my broad, interdisciplinary degree.
