About Shannon

Hi! I am very passionate about working with children. I have worked with children for several years in many different fields: babysitting, dance teacher, after school aid, lifeguard, and lead swim instructor. I am special needs certified in the water, which can also be applied outside of the water. I have a 3-year-old son who has overcome a lot of medical trauma throughout his life, so I am very knowledgeable about milestones and how to handle many situations with a child. I can bring him for social interaction too. My discipline style is to acknowledge and give name to their feelings, let them know what bad behavior they are expressing, what I would like them to do instead, and give them time to process and learn. I excel at creating bonds with children and their parents; I am very proud of these interpersonal bonds. I am CPR-certified until November of 2025.
