About Shannon

Hi, I'm Shannon. I am a caring and compassionate person who is passionate about childcare and development. I have been a pediatric Occupational Therapist for the past 7 years. I am currently looking to switch to childcare to have more time with my daughter. I'm looking for a job that allows for me to work with children while also being with my young daughter. I'd love to bring my experience as an Occupational Therapist to work toward guiding a child's development through sensory-based, play-based activities. I started working with kids when I graduated with my Master's of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2018. Prior to this I have experience working in a Church-based Sunday school and substitute teaching. In my spare time, I like to spend as much time with my family as I can. I love to go to the beach, go for walks, do crafts, watch movies, go shopping, and hang out with my cat. My skills include extensive knowledge of childhood development and creative ideas for play.
