About Shannon

I have worked with patients of all ages from babies through seniors. I started my nursing career in Labor and Delivery. From there, I moved to the mother/baby unit. I eventually transitioned into Home Health Nursing after several patients and their families required long term care. I currently work with pediatric patients in the home setting on ventilators with tracheostomy. Most have seizures and life threatening conditions. I love children and I have 3 of my own. I have worked with expectant mothers and what it requires to bring baby home. I have trained many nurses coming to work in the home setting. I know what it takes to mesh with a family. I have mandatory continuing education that is required by my nursing agency along with CPR and background checks. While most of my experience lies with Pediatrics, I have also cared for adults. I helped care for my brother in law with ALS. I have cared for many Alzheimer's and dementia patients throughout the years. I would love to find a family close by that has needs on a part-time basis.
