I grew up with a father diagnosed with BP (bipolar) and certain members throughout my family struggle with different forms of mental illness or undiagnosed struggles. I myself am Dyslexic (grammatically & numerically) as well as ADHD. Though my mother wanted the world to see me as "normal" so she never took me in for a formal doctor's diagnosis. I have learned how to manage my struggles and my hopes and dreams are help other students to learn how to grow in this world knowing "yes, I'm a little different, but I too can make an impact!" Trust me!! ALL parents need a break and time to themselves for a bit! Over the summer of 2023 I visited my aunt and watched her children ages 8 & 10. Both have special needs and I took on the task of doing activities with them while she was away at work. We did outdoor activities, I taught them how to make home cooked meals, and we built a behavior chart that included their therapy exercises. I can't wait to meet your kiddos!
