About Shania

Educating and engaging youth is my passion. I am a local science teacher with a bachelor's in Marine Biology from the University of California San Diego, and Master's of Science in Biological Science from Florida State University. I am available for your childcare needs, basic homework help, and private tutoring sessions (rates vary by subject). I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring physical and life sciences (biology, chemistry, physics) and math of all levels (basic arithmetic to Calculus). I have experience tutoring AP courses and teaching college level courses (former teaching assistant at FSU). I have worked with and taught children with mild-moderate learning differences. Along with being a resource to children in their academics, I also love working with families that are energetic and involved in extra curricular activities. I enjoyed taking kids on outings and exploring local nature and wildlife. I am also extremely animal friendly.
