About Shania

Hello families! I am a certified elementary school teacher and have taught from pre-k all the way to third grade. I LOVE teaching and I would LOVE to get your student on grade level or ahead! I'd describe my personality as silly, strict, and loving. I like tutoring because I can help children learn and understand things they didn't understand before. Seeing that "lightbulb" moment when they get something is so rewarding. This is my first year tutoring! I'm still teaching full time but I've decided to take on some extra students after school that may need more assistance and time. In my spare time I like to sing, go to musicals, and spend time with my family. One thing you should know about me is I am very patient because I understand what it's like to not understand something and someone being frustrated with me. My skills include reading, writing, and math. I would also love to do science or social studies!
