About Shania

I like working with kids because it is a rewarding feeling to have taught a child a skill, such as reading, that they will use all of their life. It is rewarding to watch them grow and know that I am making a positive impact on their life. I'm looking for a job that feels important to come back to each week. I started working with kids when I was in seventh grade doing babysitting for friends and family. In 2019 I was a Pre-K summer camp teacher and entering my first year of college. That summer I realized how much I enjoyed coming to work each day, and decided to become an early childhood teacher. In my spare time, I like to read fiction books, tend to my garden, snuggle with my husband and paint. One thing you should know about me is I am learning to build my own curriculum and desire to teach children how to read and write.
