I like caring for seniors because they once cared for my generation and I feel their age shouldn't be the reason not to live a happy and healthy life. I'm looking for a job that I can use my extensive home healthcare experience to bring joy and peace to an environment that may seem stressful. I started caring for seniors in 2005 when I was chosen by my family to care for my grandmother in my mother's home until her transition. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends with meals and movies. One thing you should know about me is when I'm working, thats my focus. I believe in doing things right the first time. I am always open to suggestions, requests, and feedback to make the experience pleasant & enjoyable for everyone. My skills include Certification in Phlebotomy, Basic Life Support Training and 2 years Training in a Clinical Setting on Medication as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee.

Shaneka was referred by my neighbor when my husband suffered a traumatic brain injury along with a broken neck. Once released from the hospital, he still had a PEG tube and had to be fed via tube. Shaneka came in and was able to administer his meds, feedings up until he made a full recovery. She kept track of all the therapists and nurses who came into our home during this time. More importantly she was patient with my husband and always treated him well. She really is a gem ❤️
