About Shameka

I have worked as a medical assistant for over 20 years. I have provided in-home and respite care for several family members and friends with conditions ranging from dementia, diabetes, and asthma to autism, cancer, stroke recovery, etc. I no longer work in patient care full-time but I still find joy in caring for others. I'd describe my personality as caring, fun, and attentive. I started caring for seniors when I was a preteen. Both of my grandmothers suffered from dementia and diabetes. When I became an adult, I provided respite care for one and in-home care for the other. In my spare time, I love spending time with my grandsons. I also volunteer in the community with a nonprofit that my husband and I started providing free pop-up clinics teaching youth the fundamentals of sports. One thing you should know about me is I am dependable, compassionate, and hardworking. I will treat their loved one as if they are my own.
