About Shakyra

As a child, I was constantly alone, misunderstood, and overlooked. Now, I strive to ensure children feel the authentic love and understanding they deserve. I've been a childcare provider for five years and seek to create a nurturing environment where each child feels safe and valued. Patient, calm, creative, and imaginative, I have a passion for helping children learn and grow. I believe in open communication with parents and regularly update them about their child's day. I am very comfortable enforcing household rules to ensure a safe and structured environment. My experience includes playing a variety of games with children, from outdoor sports and physical games to board games and puzzles. I also enjoy educational games that promote learning. I hold a college degree, am a certified teacher with early childhood development coursework, and have completed First Aid and CPR training. I am also a doula.
