My name is, Shakera! I have been working in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 10 years. I have been serving children and families at KinderCare since 2020 as a Lead Teacher. Before my journey at KinderCare, I started my career at the Youth Program! I was heavily involved in their programs, worked as an aide, and worked my way up to being a substitute Director. My passion for children's growth and development motivated me to earn my 90hr certifications to teach infants, toddlers, and school-aged childen. I am also First aid, CPR, and AED certified! I am a Frederick native and newly married to the love of my life. We have a 1-year-old kitty that we adore! I love to take road trips with my husband, whether it's to the beach or a cozy cabin. I am fun, energetic, and organized. My goal is to work as a part-time evening childcare provider, but I'm open to considering full-time opportunities if they're a good fit. Shakera has been helping out with my infant daughter. She is punctual, professional and attentive to any requests I have had. My kiddo warmed up to her immediately and loves seeing her! She has a lot of experience with school age kids too and it seems like kids just feel comfortable with her.
