Hi, parents! My name is Shakee. I am 23 years old. I am looking for one full-time or 2 set part-time child care positions. I am willing to travel up to 35 miles from my home. I have just over 2 years of experience in professional private child care. I hold a Bachelor's in both Special Education and Elementary Education. I have cared for a variety of ages ranging from newborn to 17. I have also cared for a range of populations including Special Needs, caring for children with both cognitive, and physically disabilities. I have experience with multiples, as well as multiple toddlers. With this being said, I am very familiar with developmental milestones and have put together a portfolio of games and activities dedicated to help achieve and even surpass these goals. I believe in treating children how I would want my future children treated. I am firm but loving. I pride myself on finding creative solutions to problems without involving parents. I believe it is very important to have discussions with children about why things are right and wrong and why some behaviors are acceptable and others are not. I don't mind answering the continuous "why?" because I believe educating children in any setting is important. Special Needs population is very dear to my heart.
