About Shaina

I have graduated from Southern Connecticut State University and while earning my B. S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Southern Connecticut State University, I also maintained full-time employment within Old Lyme and New haven school district. These experiences taught me how to manage multiple priorities as well as further my experiences in child development. Working in New Haven this past year, I have gained the knowledge and experience essential for working with culturally diverse populations with varying types of needs, as well as effectively functioning on a multi-disciplinary team of professionals. Highville Charter School has over 500 students, all with very unique backgrounds and differences. Our mission at Highville is to prepare our children to participate responsibly in a global, diverse and rapidly changing 21st century. It is important for me to teach appropriate play and social skills with patience and to provide proper opportunities for learning and development.
