Hello my name is Sergio, I had the pleasure of taking care of a 21-year-old male with Cerebral Palsy. He is in a wheelchair with a talker attached to his chair so he could communicate with people. My experience with him was very educational and inspirational at the same time. I love taking care of individuals, with him I learned what it was like to see the world through his eyes and understand what a typical day was for him. He had his ups and downs, but he learned from it, was rewarding. We would go in the pool that his parents have and go on walks to get out of the house, go to the movies which he loved to do. I also had the pleasure of taking care of a teenager with autism for about a year which was an amazing experience for for me. I've also had the taken care of an adult male with cerebral palsy which I did for a year and a half.
