About Serenity

I love working with kids. It is important that the caregivers of a child have a positive impact, as they are the people who have a huge reach on their lives. I have grown up caring for children in my family as well as for church groups and moms and grandmothers and I started this as a mid teen. I enjoy entertaining and playing with kids. I also helped work as a counselor for a kids camp for two summers and I assistant taught a Wednesday night kids program and helped with VBS during the summer. Babysitting is something that is so rewarding. In my spare time I like to craft and make things, which I also love to teach kids as well! Some of my childcare skills include ensuring a child's safety in the activities they perform, going along with the things they want to do, and when they are doing something they shouldn't do I direct their attentions to something else in a fun way that will sufficiently distract. I also like helping kids learn to do things they enjoy.
