About Serene

I have many years of subbing experience in various public and private schools across the country. In addition to my degrees in Environmental Studies, Oysters Genetics and Breeding, and Natural Resource Management, I am also in the process of completing a degree in Special Education. My future goals include becoming a certified tutor in the Orton-Gillingham approach. One thing that I have learned about myself is that I thoroughly enjoy connecting with children on a one-one basis. Something about that interaction heals the child within me. It is important to provide a safe and support environment for your child. Patience and listening is key to providing this. I would enjoy seeing exactly how I can fit within your child's educational framework!
