About Serena

Hi, my name is Serena! I am a fourth-year UCSC full-time undergraduate student majoring in Psychology, and Global and Community Health. I love to surf, backpack, garden, ferment, and explore nature. I am trained as a Wilderness First Responder (WFR), and I am CPR/First-Aid certified. I speak Spanish (though I am not fluent). I prioritize nature-based play and hands-on learning. I strive to support kids of all ages in building their self-confidence and inspiring them to explore their interests. I am looking for occasional babysitting and part-time nannying opportunities. I am also available for tutoring (math and homework support). I have experience caring for children from infancy to adolescence, teaching swim lessons, elementary and middle school level tutoring, and outdoor education.
