About Sera

Hi, my name is Sera. I've been a caregiver for the last 10-15 years. I grew up in an adult family home since my mom was a caregiver before becoming a nurse. I assisted clients with many different needs. Most were clients who needed help around the house, others need more assistance like bathing, toileting and dressing. I've worked with clients who needed different kinds of lifts to transfer due to physical limitation. I can safely lift and transfer heavy clients. I can transport to appointments whether its social, medical or otherwise. I worked at an assisted living home, for about 10yrs with 9 clients. Many in different stages of Dementia. Working there really helped me to appreciate more the kind of special care folks with dementia need. I also assisted clients on Hospice. I've taken many classes to keep me up to date with all different aspects of caring for a client, no matter what their needs may be. I currently am doing one on one care. I'm a nursing assistant registered (NAR).

We interviewed Sera and she was wonderful and had the qualifications we were looking for. However, she called in sick the day she was scheduled to train with our other caregiver. We know things like that happen, so we rescheduled the training and she no showed, no call, nothing. We also thought it was weird she did not have a cell phone to communicate with her regularly. We need a reliable caregiver so we declined to give her another chance.
