About Sequoya

As a caregiver, my passion lies in nurturing children's growth and development. I aspire to become an elementary school teacher, where I can create a foster a positive and supportive environment for the youth. My mother has been a paraprofessional educator since I was in kindergarten, and throughout the years I have gained hands-on experience with caretaking/working with people of both mental and physical disabilities. My patient, creative, and friendly nature allows me to connect easily with children. When it comes to activities, I enjoy in engaging in various games, whether that is outdoor activities/sports, or indoor board games! Furthermore, I have a high school diploma and am currently at my fourth year at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where I plan to graduate with a Bachelors in Sociology and a minor in education. With a future career in teaching, I am grateful for the opportunity to work with children and further my experience.
