About Sela

It is my privilege to recommend Sela to you as caregiver for your aging mother. She is very knowledgeable in many areas and took wonderful care of our mother at home allowing her to stay in her house which was moms wish. She is extremely compassionate and completely trustworthy plus willing to work any hours needed. She never missed a day of work and was always on time. A few times we had emergencies and needed someone to stay the night with mom. She quickly volunteered and helped as needed. Our mother had Lewey Body Dementia with characteristics of Parkinson’s. Sela was familiar with the disease and had a lot of experience with dementia patients. Sela actually taught me a lot and what to expect as the disease progressed. Sela gave me great comfort knowing mom was in good loving hands. While caring for my mother Sela performed a variety of daily activities. She assisted our mother with hygiene, dressing, preparing and feeding meals and administering medications. She kept a daily log as requested by hospice and family, of all medications, counts of medications and times medication was given plus a small diary on her overall day. She took my mother for small walks, sat on the porch with her so she could get fresh air and basically done whatever mom asked or needed. Sometimes mom just wanted her space and Sela gave mom her space while keeping a watchful eye on her. She would just visit and spend time in conversation laughing and keeping mom in good spirits. She treated mom with upmost respect and dignity and truly showed her love for our mother. She treated mom as she would have treated and loved her own mother. Sela always told us how cute mom was. Mom is a tiny feisty, independent woman who hated being fussed over but everyone just loved her. Family was in and out all day long checking on mom and we too were treated with upmost respect.
