About Sean
Hello! I have a degree in Public Relations with a minor in English from DePaul University. Until recently, I have worked in California writing campaigns for a well-known brand. I have since moved back to Chicago on account of missing the winter-just kidding! The truth is, the corporate world just wasn't for me. I have a passion for creative writing and plan to pursue it more seriously in the coming months. That being said, I would love to inspire that passion in the younger generation, or at the very least, give them a better ability to comprehend and compose the written word. Writing is everywhere and strong writing stands out. Whether it's reading Green Eggs and Ham, or a 10-page dissection of War and Peace, I'll find fun and engaging ways to help your child strengthen this invaluable life skill! I'm also very good with math and sciences and have been playing piano and guitar for over 10 years!

Sean helped my 5th grader through remote learning during the 2020-2021 school year while both parents were at home. Sean was flexible with scheduling and changed his schedule depending on our family's needs and changing class times. Sean was supportive of my child and quickly learned how to navigate my child's emotional ups and downs during remote learning. Sean was easy to have open, honest, and direct conversations with on how we could work together to best help my child learn. Class engagement (and consequently, grades) went up with Sean's presence and encouragement. On some non-school weekdays, Sean took my child to various museums and activities (bowling, mini-golf, etc.), always ensuring my child had fun and was safe (including with food allergies). Sean continues to babysit my child on an ad-hoc basis and teach weekly guitar lessons to my child. Sean was definitely a bright spot for our family in an otherwise challenging school year.
