About Savonnah

Greetings! I have been working with children ages 2 - 15 for 11 years! Five of those years has been spent lead teaching fifth grade math, and training other educators on how to build community and effectively teach students! I look forward to sharing the skills that I have learned in the classroom with a family who is interested in a caregiver with a collegiate sports, art major, and culinary background. I love to teach the kids I work with volleyball, and how to bake! Creativity and expression is important to me and I believe all kids should be honored for who they are and their qualities! One thing you should know about me is family and grace is very important for me. I have been trained in responsive classroom and believe that children can have difficult dialogues about how they are feeling or about their behavior with honest and real conversations. This is how I manage behaviors within my classroom and it has been helpful in me helping children build their autonomy.
