During my time working as a CNA in a nursing home, I gained a lot of experience with many different disabilities, and a level of distrust in institutionalized care. I have been doing private homecare for over 10 years, admittedly most has been elder care, and hospice care. I treat everyone with dignity, and respect, meeting them where they are in their life. I have experience with mechanical lifts, bathing, insulin injections, checking blood sugar, feeding, toileting, many assistive devices, as well as ambulatory assistance.
