I started caring for people with special needs when I was 18 years old! My first job working with special needs was working at a summer camp for adults with special needs! That job showed me my true passion for what I do today! Currently I work at School for Blind School. I am celebrating my 4th year working there. I work in a Pre-K classroom as a paraprofessional. In my spare time, I like to thrift and paint! One thing you should know about me is I have a sister with a seizure disorder so I can completely understand what it's like living with someone with special needs and can relate with the days that are more of a struggle than others. After she got out of the hospital when she was 11 years old I spent a whole year with her, working on her physical therapy goals, her occupational goals and her vision goals. We also had a lot of fun doing arts and crafts, going outside and playing games. My skills include being incredibly patient, kind and understanding
