I am 39 years old. I live in Evansville, Indiana. I got my CNA and my LPN from Ivy Tech Community College in Evansville. I plan to continue my education. In 2006, I obtained Certified Nursing Aide certification and worked in long term care and assisted living facilities. I became an LPN in 2010 and worked in long term care for 7 years, mostly on a dementia unit. I took 5 years off for mental health reasons. I came back to the field and I am looking for a part time private nursing job, preferably afternoon, evenings, or nights. A majority of my years have been caring for older patients with memory/behavioral diagnoses. I have experience with redirecting, assisting, and comforting behaviors related to dementia. Other experience: wounds, feeding tubes, Foley catheters, nebulizers, colostomies, medication administration, assistance with activities of daily living, light house work.
