About Sara

Hello! My name is Sara, and I have had the pleasure of calling Orcas Island home for the past four years. I truly cherish this wonderful community. I attended the University of Washington and spent over a decade at Microsoft, but my true calling has always been in community engagement. Currently, I am honored to serve on the boards of the Youth Coalition and Funhouse here on Orcas. I have also worked for several local businesses and most recently in social work to support those in need. Additionally, I run my own design business, and I am eager to step back from the screen and reconnect with the beauty of the world around us. With 20 years of experience working with children, particularly those on the autism spectrum and those with unique developmental needs, I have a heartfelt passion for nurturing and supporting young lives.
