I started babysitting when I was 13. I knew that childcare was for me. In high school, I got a part time job at a daycare and stayed on full time after graduation. When a parent found out she was due with twins, she asked me to come work in her home as their nanny. I loved every minute of it. I worked with them for four years until they started preschool. After that, I worked for a family for two years who had another set of twins. When we discovered that one of them had special needs they opted to put them in a full-time facility that could better meet his needs. From there I spent eight years working with a set of twin boys. I'm currently employed with a family of three, I've been with them for almost six years. In my experience I have never come across a child that I didn't instantly love. That's something I always tell my employers; I will love on your children like they are my own.
