About Sara

I have truly explored working with every age group. In my 20s working in multiple daycare's and summer camps for kids, and most recently 12 years of teaching high school. Funny that I thought I wanted to move up in age levels, after recently leaving Animas High School and nannying for a 2-year-old, I remembered the joy that working with kids brings me. I have taken and studied Waldorf School methodology, developed mindfulness curriculum, helped run a free school model based on the Sudbury school model, and studied and taught project based learning for 12 years. In my free time, I listen to parenting podcasts and read parenting books, such as Hunt Gather Parent, despite the fact that my daughter is 25 years old. My plan is in the next couple years to return to graduate school and become a family counselor. Understanding what contributes to human thriving and the psychology of human happiness are how I fill my spare time.
