Throughout the past few years, I have had the opportunity to work with students and children with various disabilities in the aspect of education and physical activity. As a current special education teacher, I work with high school students with intellectual disabilities transitioning from school to work. Within this role, I teach students the many skills that are needed to succeed within the real world. I also enjoy helping children with disabilities participate and get involved in physical activity. This can involve just going for a walk outside once a week or creating daily workout plans depending on the individuals needs.
