My name is Sarah and I am a 25-year-old English Language Arts teacher. During the school year, I teach 10th grade English in Newark, NJ. I am currently searching for a summer job; I am available from late July to mid-August. I have experience working with children with special needs in multiple settings. In the past, I have served as a personal caregiver for family friends with children with special needs. I have also had the pleasure of tutoring and caring for a 10-year-old child with Down Syndrome. I am passionate about what I do because I love leading with the empathy and patience that I know to be valuable for all people, and especially so for people with special needs who are often misunderstood and unfairly characterized.
