Hello! I am Sarah! I have a teaching degree and my master's in mental health counseling with a specialization in Dance-Movement Therapy. I am currently a Mental Health Therapist for kids, but like to do childcare for fun/ to pay off debt. My most recent experience is with children (2-10 yrs) who have social/emotional, behavioral problems or mental disabilities. I have my fingerprint clearance card and have had basic CPR training and level 5 clearance (DCF state level). I have watched day-old infants, all the way up to teenagers and up to 6 at a time. I do have my own car and am willing to work in others' homes! I am a fun outgoing woman, and absolutely in love with kids. Sarah was THE most amazing sitter to care for our 3 year old. Our son is extremely reserved and very attached to me and my husband. Our son had cried with a few other sitters, including family, and when we interviewed Sarah, we liked her qualities but the biggest test would be how our son would feel with her. We asked Sarah to come another day and spend only an hour with him..and boy were we surprised!! My husband and I went out within a walking distance from our house in case we had to return right away. While we were out, Sarah texted us with great updates, including pictures. When we returned home, we found our son laughing and enjoying himself as Sarah had made a fort with blankets and a chair and our son was loving it! After that, we knew Sarah was a perfect fit given our son's personality and our son never cried when he stayed with Sarah because he knew he was going to have a fabulous time. My husband and I left feeling safe and at ease as well!! Thank you, Sarah! We miss you!!
