My name is Sarah and I am 19 years old. I live in Newburyport, MA, and graduated high school from St. Mark's School in 2015. After graduating, I decided to take a year off before going to college. For about 4 months I volunteered in Lima, Peru working with children and adults with severe special needs, planning and supervising activities, guiding therapy sessions, and assisting with the general care of the children and adults living in the orphanages. I have experience working with people diagnosed with cerebral palsy, down syndrome, autism, and different communication disorders, but I am very eager to learn how to care for children and adults with other diagnoses as well, as I am interested in pursuing special education in college!
