I have 16 years of experience working (full-time) with individuals with developmental/physical disabilities and able-bodied. More recently, I have also cared for those at the end life stage. I am there for the person 100%! For their health and well-being, but mostly quality of life! I believe in promoting as much independence as one can have. When I have worked one-on-one or in someone's home, I felt I could make the most difference. I have worked in medically and behavior-intensive settings. I also worked for NYSOPWDD and am required to pass an extensive background check, which I have. I absolutely love what I do and have never been told anything other than I do it well. My heart is full when I'm caring for people. I get out of it what I put into it, if not more so. If I can make someone in my care smile, laugh or feel comfort, I feel like my day was a successful one! I hope that my service to you or your loved one will be truly helpful!
