I have 8+ years working with a child with Autism and I loved every minute of it! Some of my responsibilities included, helping with homework, reading skills, money skills, and social/life skills such as how to appropriately converse with peers, small amounts of cooking and snack preparation, and daily/nightly routines, to list a few. I love working in this field! I am an outside of the box thinker and I feel that helps when working with special needs it gives me a different perspective in ways to reach them where they're at.
