I have been nannying for the last 5 years (starting at 18), and also working in daycares/preschools prior to that. I have worked with many families with children having ADHD, autism, speech delays, etc. For the past year I have been working with a 13-year-old girl with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy. She is fully nonverbal and chair bound. My duties include lifting/transporting, administering medicine, daily stretches to help with mobility, traveling to activities and PT/OT appointments, feeding, reading, bathing, and much more. I am enrolled to get my BSN as I've always had a love for caring for others, but was previously an elementary education major. I believe I am naturally amazing with children of all ages and disabilities and bring a lot of knowledge and experience to the table to provide great care.
