I support students as they develop a growth mindset and learn to tackle challenge in their math and physics classes. Physics can be frustrating and tedious. Resilience is the key to success in STEM and is a valuable tool in facing any obstacle. I provide encouragement for people from traditionally underrepresented groups in science and I can share about my own experience as a woman in a physics graduate program. I am kind and patient and I have experience explaining complex topics in an understandable way. Physics can be scary and anxiety-inducing to many students, but it doesn't have to be. With a safe and supportive environment, students will develop the confidence to study science and ace their intimidating exams. I have a bachelors degree from UC Berkeley with a double major in physics and statistics. I did my masters in physics at UCLA and now I'm working on my PhD. My research focus for my thesis is computational plasma physics. I interned at Google as a software engineer
