I'd describe my personality as outgoing, committed, and understanding. I like working with kids because I admire their energy and creativity. I officially started working with kids at age 16 when I worked as a swim instructor and lifeguard for the YMCA. I became certified in a variety of first aid and safety skills. I am also the oldest of five siblings who I babysit often. In my spare time I enjoy hiking and driving the Blue Ridge Parkway. I cook often for friends and spend time with my pets! I have an open mind! I am flexible regarding tasks that need to be done and hours for scheduling. My skills include preparing food and coming up with new recipes. Sarah was hired for a job when we were out of town and did not have any connections in the area but needed care for our toddler. She was communicative before the job, but an hour before she was scheduled to arrive she texted me that she was not able to babysit due to personal reasons. Of course, I would love to think this was a family emergency or something similar, but she gave no indication that it was.
