About Sarah

As a former Middle School Science teacher, I have hands on experience with guiding young people to solve problems through curiosity. I have tutored all ages Reading, Math & Science. I am also an avid Salsa dancer and fluent Spanish speaker. I have taught Spanish classes and English as a second language classes to adults. I've traveled and found community work around Central America which has enhanced my capacity for adapting to the needs of my clients. I'm looking for part time tutoring opportunities to support young people with clear goals. I've completed 3 years of a 4 year counseling psychology graduate program and worked professionally in behavioral healthcare for three years. I am gentle with young people while staying focused on finding their motivation and celebrating their achievements and respecting family boundaries. I hope I can support a young person towards feeling empowered and accomplished.
