My father passed away in 2019 and until July 2023 I was my mother's primary caregiver. She was diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia in 2022, so I was able to learn what that road looked like for her. There are great local resources and I'm so grateful I was on the journey with her, knowing she's not alone. No one should be alone. Mom passed away mid-July 2023. While caring for her I provided full-time care - feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, appointments, and doing my best to achieve my daily goal of having her laugh or smile once a day.
