Hello! My name is Sara. I am a Special Education Teacher from Pennsylvania who received my B. S. in Early Childhood Education and my M. Ed. in Autism Education from Temple University. I have spent the past two years living in Seattle working at an alternative placement school for autistic students with challenging behaviors. I consider autistic education to be my passion and am very comfortable with stims and alternative forms of communication such as PECS, AACs, and basic ASL. I am currently taking some time off from teaching to allow time to plan my wedding in May :) I have been working with children for 16 years and have experience with ages 0-16. My specialty is ages 0-3/preschool age. I am a crafty person and my happy place is completing projects such as art, baking, sewing, legos, puzzles etc. I have previously taught art and dance and am able to provide a portfolio of projects I have completed with children ages 2-11, particularly 2-5.
