About Sara

I have worked with children of all ages and abilities in the past 10 years as a nanny, babysitter, tutor, and teacher in both public and private schools. I earned my Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Denver and I'm in between teaching positions looking for part-time/full-time and summer opportunities. Last summer I took a few preschool kids ages 3-6 that I babysit to the park and in one of their backyards and we explored their natural surroundings using their senses. This summer I'd like to expand my idea to include 5-6 kids either for full days or half days and take them on weekly themed adventures around the city of Denver designed to inspire their imaginations and to develop their skills and interests. Some of the topics that both students and parents have shown interest in are: ABC Detectives, Vehicles and Machines, Money and the Mint, etc. In addition to my camp, I'm open to tutoring positions, nanny positions, home-school teaching positions and encouraging the overall academic and social-emotional growth of each individual child. My hourly rate is dependent upon the amount of kids and if I am teaching/tutoring, babysitting, or doing summer camp.
