About Sandy

Friendly, smart, resourceful, easy going and good with kids and adults. I have taught elementary special education for over 30 years, with regular education students, as well as students with Learning Disabilities. Reading, writing and math are my specialties. My experiences have taught me how important it is to be flexible and understanding. Since retiring in 2019, I have been tutoring and nannying part time. In one year, I helped a 2nd grader, move up 8 tiers, so he is now reading at his current grade level. I have experience in caring for a premie, until he didn't need oxygen and heart level monitoring. I'm very positive, empathetic and caring. Prepping meals, doing laundry, loading or unloading the dishwasher are chores I'd be happy to help complete. I have my own car. I like pets, however I am allergic to cats.
