After caring for my own mother for nearly 10 years, I understand what goes into needing help with a loved one. There is much more involved than just doing daily essentials such as hygiene care and house cleaning. It's making sure they are comfortable with the person that is caring for them and in order to do that, is for the caregiver to listen to the likes, dislikes and concerns. Everybody has what I call "quirks" about themselves and I feel it is part of my responsibility to learn them so the person I am caring for is comfortable being in their element.
