For the past 12 years I have worked in Special Education supporting the academic, behavioral and social-emotional needs of diverse student populations. I have taught in inclusive and sub-separate classrooms in lead and co-teaching roles, both in-person and via virtual formats. Through this experience, I have developed a solid practice of creating curriculums that challenges and engages students on an individualized level, allowing for critical thinking and self-reflective growth, while maintaining and often exceeding academic standards.
