Hello, I have worked in 2 skilled nursing facilities and worked as a caregiver in home. But the most and Best experience I have is having the blessed treasure of taking care of my sick dad, who passed at the age of 89. It still hurts, and I suspect, it always will. My mom is 96 and while she is pretty much a pistol, requires assistance as she is a fall risk, and the fact she is 96. I have over 25 years experience working in Social Services--mainly in addiction and mental health. In between career oriented jobs, I worked as a companion, which was equally as rewarding. Although my passion was my intended career, I'm being drawn back to working as a caregiver/companion.
