In the last 25 years of employment, I have worked several jobs. It wasn't until a few years ago when I began working at a group home for Special Need Adults that I realized my true purpose. I believe that my entire reason for being placed in this world is to care for others. But there is really something special about caring for those that may not be able to care for themselves. I also believe that being such an empathetic person spiritually gives me a slight advantage over some other caregivers. I would love to return to college someday and pursue a degree in this area. However, financially, I am just not able to at this particular season of my life. So, for now, I search for those rare moments that I can make a difference in someone's life. However big or small that difference may be....
