About Sam

Hi, my name is Sam! I am 21 years old and I'm a Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology major with a minor in Education at UC Davis. I've been a leader for one year at the after school program, Davis Kids Klub, and a counselor for 3 years at Cal Aggie Camp, a summer camp for foster youth ages 5-16. These positions have given me experience in conflict resolution, upholding camp and school rules, ensuring large groups of children are safe and accounted for, and fostering an environment where children can be themselves and have fun. I believe that patience, understanding, and calm communication are crucial for the healthy social and emotional development of young minds. With 3 years of experience working with children of all ages, I'm well-equipped to provide a variety of activities based on their interests and what brings them the most joy! In my free time I like to draw, write children's stories, and rock climb. I look forward to meeting you!
