Hello, my name is Samiyah! I've been a childcare provider for over 6 years. I'm looking for short term and occasional jobs. At the moment I am very flexible however not able to commit to a long term. I have worked at a daycare in the past and I also have extensive experience as a support worker for adults . I currently work part time with an adult on the autism spectrum, this is a long term job where I assist her with her daily needs. As for my most recent experience in childcare, I'm coming from a long term relationship where I've been with the same family for 2 years, since the child was 6 months old. I started with this family during the lockdown and it was a learning experience for us. We had to become conscientious of how we shared our space and I learned to keep the child engaged and entertained in any situation. I'm amenable to various parenting styles and can accommodate as required. I enjoy taking kids out and having fun outside of the house!

Though we were with Samiyah for a short time as we prepared for our move, we had a great experience with her. She was dependable and our son was extremely comfortable with her. She took initiative with upholding the schedule we set for him and made it a priority to get him outside and keep him engaged throughout the day. She worked with our schedule and also kept us informed about their whereabouts during the day, as well as respected any boundaries we had.
