I have over a years worth of experience with ABA and special needs care with a family and their 8-year-old daughter. She was non-verbal most of the time, with small phrases when she would get excited. I always planned engaging activities and prepared for any possible triggers and/or things that made her unhappy. As I got to know her more, it became easier to know what might make her upset, and what will make it better :) I did bathing, feeding, bathroom training, brushing, gave her medicine, took her to therapy and outings during the day to her favorite places, such as the Zoo or Sesame Palace!
